Luminary

An Experiment in Asynchronous Co-operation

‘Luminary’ is simply a maze where the player must get to the end. However, it is dark except for a few points of light throughout the maze. The player is able to pick up these lights and drop them elsewhere. Wherever the lights are left when the player’s light fades is stored in the cloud. On future playthroughs, a random player’s lights are populated in the maze. Can asynchronous players guide one another through the maze? Where will you leave your light to help future generations?

This game is a an experiment in rogue-like, asynchronous co-operative play. Can players across time guide one another through the maze?
